Nancy, I did a search for basset husky mixed dogs and a picture of your dog Stella came up so I had to come to your blog spot! She looks very similar to my dog, Chewie! We adopted him in 2011 and our groomer insists he is part husky because of how vocal he is. He doesn’t howl ever but almost speaks in this sing song manner… wanted to ask you about some behaviors that might be specific to these breeds… and I have to show you a pic of him bc he reminds me of the pic you posted 😉

Actually, Mandy is my dog. Stella is one of the first basset-husky mixes we found besides Mandy, and does look a lot like her, but I’d love to see a picture of Chewie! And I’d be happy to answer any of your questions as best I can. These are fun, unique dogs.
